A number of home-based opportunities have arisen in one of the UK’s largest specialist property valuation companies.
Our client has a leading reputation in undertaking feasibility studies, project management, development monitoring and acting as expert witness in court cases in addition to producing Red Book valuations. They are looking to recruit at least five surveyors to undertake commercial loan security and portfolio valuations on behalf of banks, major lending organisations, funds, private investors and landlords. The types of properties valued are trading assets including hotels, care homes, factories, bars, restaurants, clubs, healthclubs, surgeries, hospitals and more specialist assets such as waste plants and factories. In addition, they also value a small proportion of bulk asset classes including offices and industrial.
About the role:
Producing loan security and portfolio valuations with particular focus on trading and bulk asset classes
Inspecting properties
Carrying out comprehensive property, market and legal due diligence enquiries
Producing monthly/quarterly/bi-annual/annual reports to clients
Become a single point of contact for clients
Develop and maintain active communication both within your team and other teams
About you:
High attention to detail, well organised and a good initiative level
Strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills
Understand the components of discounted cashflows
A good understanding of UK geography and UK property markets with strong commercial awareness
MRICS qualified - all levels from newly qualified to Director will be considered
A desire to progress and generate new business
Strategic approach to problem solving
Highly motivated
An ability to utilise varying methods of valuation
Highly proficient in valuation software, specifically with Excel, Argus Investor and Argus Developer
Full driving licence
