Rare and unique opportunity for a highly numerical Modeller/Valuer to join the high profile Affordable Housing division of a leading international property consultancy in London.

Our client provides a wide range of development management, viability and valuation services to housing associations, local authorities and developers for residential schemes. They specialise in the affordable housing/private rental sector and over many years, have forged strong partnerships with registered social landlords, local authorities and senior lenders. They are arguably a leading name in affordable housing and are experiencing a period of phenomenal growth.

About the role:

  • Source investment opportunities on a national level

  • Provide specialist valuation advice (ground rents/shared ownership/shared equity/PFI) to registered social landlords, local authorities and senior lenders

  • Provide analytical support to some of the UK’s largest housing associations and institutional investors, primarily on market rented residential portfolios and index linked reversionary assets

  • Generate new business with existing and new clients, and cross-selling across other revenue streams of the business

  • Assist in leading the team through mentoring and guiding more junior surveyors

  • Build and maintain key client relationships

About you:

  • Excellent ability to model cashflows from scratch in Excel

  • MRICS (desirable but not essential)

  • Ability to communicate articulately and concisely in writing and orally

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills

  • A bright, outgoing personality

  • Lateral thinker, able to see angles for new business and problem solve

  • Good numerical reasoning, ability to analyse and optimise development appraisals
