Associate Director - Housing

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus bonus, car and bens

Privately-owned real estate company is looking to source an experienced Associate Director to assist in leading the extremely profitable Housing division as part of an award-winning team.

Our client provides a wide range of investment management, development management, viability, management consultancy and valuation services to housing associations, local authorities and developers for residential schemes, with a specialism in affordable housing, the private rental sector and partnerships between public/private sectors.

 

About the role

 

  • Assist in leading, recruiting and retaining a team

  • Assist in producing, driving and delivering annual budget and 3 year business plan/growth strategy

  • Generating new business with existing and new clients

  • Cross-sell services within the wider company

  • Prepare formal tenders, lead pitches and form internal project teams to deliver in collaboration with other teams

  • Build and maintain key client relationships

  • Generate ideas for new business streams

 

About you:

 

  • Experience and knowledge of housing market, the development industry, funding systems, private finance, planning system, with specialism in affordable housing models, public/private sector joint ventures and partnerships

  • Good numerical reasoning, ability to analyse and optimise development appraisals

  • Strong potential for leadership and management

  • Good network of contacts with RPs, local authorities, developers

  • Ability to communicate articulately and concisely in writing and orally

  • Lateral thinker, able to see angles for new business and problem solve

  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

  • Significant senior level experience of housing development for or with housing associations, local authorities and/or developers for both private and affordable tenures

  • Degree level education -  RICS or CIH (advantageous)
